Installation Tips:

- Installation will require additional cables, circuit breaker, terminals if you don't buy the RECARC harness.

• Ensure the unit is properly secured to the chassis to prevent movement, as it contains an accelerometer (G-sensor).

• A diode might be needed on some vehicles to prevent stoplight feedback to the towbar ECU or vehicle electronics // or all vehicles to avoid stop lights on the towing vehicle turning on when overriding using the knob. see : EPDK-001

• For certain Ford vehicles, a specific harness is required for proper installation.

• For 3-axle trailers, prefer 6mm cable between the tow plug and TowPro to avoid voltage drop.

• 30A auto-reset circuit breaker is recommended for added safety and protection. see : NARVA 54730BL - OEX ACX1864BL - ACX2003BL

REDARC Tow-Pro Wiring Kits Available

REDARC offers two universal wiring kit options for the Tow-Pro Elite brake controller: the Universal Wiring Kit (TPWKIT-013) and the Universal Extended Wiring Kit (TPWKIT-014). The key difference between these kits is the length of the power harness. The TPWKIT-014 comes with a longer power harness, making it suitable for vehicles with longer cable runs to the start battery.

If you’re unsure about which kit to choose, we recommend opting for the TPWKIT-014, as the extra cable provides more flexibility during installation, especially if you have a vehicle with a larger engine bay or longer cable runs.
